We thought we would post some pictures of our new camper, It's a Coleman Colorado Sport. We were given it by our Geocaching friend Baad Daata, she had heard that we were looking for a small camper that we could pull behind our little cars, especially the Zuki. She offered it to us on a saturday afternoon and we went to pick it up the next monday. We called her that morning about the camper to find that she had just fallen down and really hurt herself, ( we found out later she was Okay with just a lot of bruising and of course soreness, but not enough to curb her Geocaching) so she told me she was going to the emergency room, and after declining any offer of help said go ahead and come get it, you don't need me there! Well as soon as I saw it I knew it was just what I had been looking for, well there was about a foot of snow on the tattered "Road Cover" and had water standing inside the cabin. Both tires were flat but one pumped up and using the spare for the other side it looked like we were all set to tow it home, but wait.. it has an 17/8 inch ball hitch and I had no ball for it. Well by this time BD came back home and found us a ball for it. well to make a long story short we got it all dried out and found it to be in good shape with only some dirt and a few repairs to be made. We contacted BD and she managed to even ask the owner for them to send us the title for it, it's light enough(600 lbs) to not require licensing. we have made arrangement to get a new cover made next week I hope for 250.00 so for now I store it inside as much as possible. when we opened it up it was fitted out with all the equipment for a couple to camp including a "new" 2 burner propane camp stove, a small lantern, 2 folding lawn chairs, bedding, propane gas and a lot more too. I am looking forward to our first trip in it, already looking up sites to visit. Thanks Baad Daata for the fun present on YOUR birthday!!! like they say, I get by with a little help from my friends!!
