Michael - Tractor pull?

Shay found a 'Souri event for her dad that the whole family could enjoy that was close to home. It was a lawn mower pull/carnival. We arrived at 5:00. While Mike and Jace checked out the mowers, the rest of us went to play the games and ride the rides.

Breaking Rocks, Fishing Pond, Pick a Duck, Shoot thePaint Gun, and Find the Treasure were the games the kids and I played. At the Fish Pong all of us got beany babies. Of course, Taylor and I went back when no one was looking. He got a Weasel and I got a lamb. I also have to admit that Taylor won a Paint Gun hitting the smallest metal bird! The lady said that he was the only one that hit it that night.

We rode in the barrel's behind a 4 wheeler for 10 to 15 minutes. Then we rode in the back of a horse drawn wagon.

We ate this as we watched the pulls. Dinner was Pulled Pork sandwiches with chips and homemade pie. This wash one big well organized pull. We were there until 10:00 and they were going continuously.

The Lawn Mowers were so unique. They had 4 different classes of modified standard lawn mowers that when up to an unlimited classes. The drivers were of all ages and sex. There was a little 6 yr. old girl that had a great run as well as a gray hair woman.

Kimarie's Birthday

Every time Grandma goes to Grovespring Kimmie thinks that it is her birthday. This time we told her that we would celebrate her birthday at the end of our visit. So on Sunday the 8th we celebrated Princess Kimarie's birthday. (her real birthday is September 20th) She received a Strawberry Shortcake DVD and a princess crown with a ring and earrings. Shay took Kim down stairs to make a crown while the older three blow up pink balloons and spread them out all over the living room. Kimmy was soooooooo delighted.

Taylor's 13

Yes we have a teenager in the family. It is a good thing that he is such a great guy. Today is his birthday and we are going to the Richardsons today to help celebrate. They have 21 children of every "chocolate" color, from white to dark. They have 3 children for each age of the Lee children. They need some help getting their car and one of their tractor running and the bush hogger needs some attention too. Michael and Jayson are going to look at them today. The rest of us are going to visit, play, and have a cook out.

This morning Shay and I are taking the kids and we are going to explore a cave that is close by. Eveyrone is hurrying around getting ready.

Last Thursday the MIA had a ballroom dancing class. Shay was told that she was to make sure that Taylor did not get sick so he would be there for sure! One of the Richardson girls made Taylor cookies and brought them to the dance. He seems to be highly favored by the girls in his branch.

Happy Birthday Taylor!

More 'Souri Adventures

Yesterday Jayson, Michael, and I raked and bailed hay. The hay in Missouri is grass. One field we did in regular bales and one in the big rounds. I got to rake both fields. I love to comb the fields. Once I had to jump down and move a bale out of my way. I almost fell over when I felt how light it was compared to the hay I have done in the past. Everything went well except when I was climbing down from Michael's tractor and slipped. My knee went out and I creamed my wrist. "Oh where, oh where, has all my grace gone. Oh where, oh where, can it be..." Michael thanks me for making him look coordinated.

The day before that we went into Lebanon to run errands and went to the outlet stores and an antique store. It had so many things for us to see. Michael was able to get a car to remember our trip. Me, I got 2 boxes of chocolates for us to eat. The library also has a free Route 66 museum and dinner in the same building. So we had lunch. It wasn't the best food but the experience was unique.

Today we are celebrating Michael's birthday by taking the kids out of school and going to the zoo and then going to Lamberts for dinner. Lamberts is famous for it rolls that are thrown to you as you want them.
